About the Competition

What are The British Beauty Awards?
The British Beauty Awards is an online competition celebrating excellence in the UK’s hair and beauty industry. Established in 2015, we recognise and reward the talent, creativity, and dedication of businesses and professionals, including salons, independent practitioners, and freelancers.

Who can enter the competition?
The competition is open to all UK-based businesses and professionals operating within the hair, beauty, and wellness industry. Entrants must meet the specific criteria outlined for their chosen category.

How do I enter?
To enter:

  • Visit our website and select the category that best represents your business.

  • Submit the entry fee of £19.99.

  • Once submitted, you will receive confirmation of your entry.

  • You must then provide your business name and required details for verification.

  • Supporting evidence must be provided within 4 weeks of payment, unless stated otherwise.

Important: Entrants who join the competition closer to the submission deadline (31st May 2025) may not have the full four weeks to submit their supporting evidence and will need to comply with the competition’s final submission deadline, regardless of payment date.

You may enter as many categories as you wish.

What is included in the entry fee?
The initial entry fee of £19.99 covers your participation and evaluation by our judging panel. Finalists will have the option to upgrade to one of our packages, which may include additional benefits such as trophies, certificates, or promotional materials.

What are the competition packages?
Finalists can choose from the following packages:

  • Elite Package (£19.99): Basic benefits for finalists.

  • Diamond Package (£36.98): Includes a digital certificate and additional branding tools.

  • Prestigious Package (£69.99): Top-tier package with marketing assets.

  • Ultra Prestigious Plus: Includes all benefits from the Prestigious Package plus a bespoke trophy.

Can I submit multiple entries?
Yes, you can submit entries for multiple categories. However, each entry requires a separate payment of £19.99.

How are winners selected?
Winners are selected by an independent judging panel based on the evidence provided and the criteria for each category. Judging is impartial and based on quality, professionalism, innovation, client retention, and overall business excellence.

When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be revealed during the online awards ceremony. Entrants will receive full details and an invitation closer to the event date.


Supporting Evidence

What kind of evidence do I need to submit?
You will need to provide:

  • High-quality images of your work or business.

  • Testimonials or reviews from clients.

  • Descriptions of your achievements relevant to your chosen category.

  • Business details (such as name, location, and links to social media or websites).

When is the deadline to submit evidence?
Evidence must be submitted within 4 weeks of payment confirmation, unless you have entered near the final deadline.

Note: All supporting evidence must be received by 31st May 2025, regardless of when you entered. Late entries or those entering close to the deadline may have less than 4 weeks to submit their evidence and will still need to adhere to this final date.

How should I submit my evidence?
Evidence should be uploaded via the link provided in your finalist confirmation email. Please ensure all files are clear, relevant, and follow the submission instructions.


Results and Feedback

Are the judges’ decisions final?
Yes, all decisions made by the judging panel are final. We do not accept appeals or challenges to the results. Abusive behaviour or questioning of results may result in disqualification and a permanent ban from future competitions.

Will I receive feedback on my entry?
Feedback is not guaranteed but may be offered at the discretion of the judges.


Packages and Awards

What do winners receive?
Winners receive the following (depending on chosen package):

  • A winner’s badge for social media.

  • A certificate (digital or physical).

  • A trophy (available in Ultra Prestigious Plus or via additional purchase).

When will I receive my certificate or trophy?

  • Digital certificates: Sent within 72 hours of the ceremony.

  • Physical certificates & trophies: Dispatched within 1–6 weeks after the online ceremony.

Can I purchase additional trophies or certificates?
Yes, additional items can be purchased via our online shop.

What if I upgrade but don’t send supporting evidence?
Upgrading your package does not guarantee a win. If you do not submit your supporting evidence by the deadline, you will remain a finalist only and will not be eligible for a winning place. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

Can I upgrade after the winners are announced?
Yes, if you did not upgrade before the ceremony, you may be able to purchase a post-announcement upgrade package.
Please note: These options will differ in pricing and contents from those offered during the competition period and are subject to availability.


Online Shop

How do I place an order in your shop?
Select the items you wish to purchase (trophies, banners, decals, etc.), customise as required, and complete payment at checkout.

What are the delivery times for shop orders?

  • Trophies: 20–30 working days

  • Decals: 15–20 working days

  • Banners: 20–30 working days
    Working days are Tuesday and Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Can I return items purchased in the shop?
Due to the bespoke nature of our items, we do not accept returns or offer refunds unless the product is damaged or does not meet our quality standards.

What happens if my order is delayed or lost?
We will assist you in resolving the issue with the courier. Once items leave our premises, responsibility lies with the delivery provider.


Payment and Klarna

Can I pay using Klarna?
Yes, Klarna’s “Pay in 3 interest-free instalments” is available. Eligibility is determined by Klarna.

How does Klarna’s payment option work?
Your payment is split into three parts:

  • 1st payment at checkout

  • 2nd and 3rd payments at 30 and 60 days after, respectively

What happens if I miss a Klarna payment?
Klarna will notify you and retry payment. Continued non-payment may result in a statement for the full amount.

How do I raise a complaint?

How long will it take to resolve my complaint?

No. All entries are non-refundable once submitted and confirmed.
